The Undeclared Declaration...
Slowly, surely, with fond hopes and fonder dreams,
believing' nevertheless, wondering she came and stood facing him.
He came closer and leaning slightly, his arm outstretched on the door,
his eyes peering at hers, his heart envisioning, mind fumbling for an answer , he only looked at her intently '
His response was 'wordless --- both divulging yet concealing'
His eloquent eyes, fixed on hers, fluently poured out his reply:
" If you mean the test, no I didn't.
in my fight against 'Love', my new-found Enemy,
then I most surely did lose... long ago!
I found it impossible to battle against the ever- raging surge of
Love's onslaught.
So.... in complete defiance of my 'Fight till your last breath ''golden rule I so relish quoting, I quit!! I did not live up to that rule!!I gave up instantaneously when my enemy , ' Love' struck!
Surrendered and declared " I lost, you can take me captive ".
As if he needed that invitation'
Willing enemy that I was, my surrender was just a formality.
A declaration of lifelong truce -'I won't resist , will give in' - that was my part of the deal.
(Haha!, so unlike a soldier!)
Because his prison was burning bright with heartfelt hope and longing.
Making me want to anticipate your affection, prompting me to hope
maybe, just maybe , somehow, someday, you'd fall for me too!
Let me tell you-
He is a real tough enemy!
Never loses, reins you instead, daring you on, thoroughly finishing you!Now, he is my Master'Jailor , securing me firm with iron chains of guilt'
But he asked, verbally,
"Do you love me?????" she wanted to ask, point-blank!
But couldn't bring herself to ask him!
"Nahin" she replied instead, shyly, blushing!
Love was a little kinder and slower in his onslaught on her.
And now, having discerned the feeling accurately, she was overwhelmed!
He? Yes, he! The knight in shining armour every girl dreams of'
The perfect gentleman'was he to be the one for her?
No'he was right here 'looking so angelic'
It can't be a dream!
Just standing there, facing his eyes made her feel butterflies fluttering within.
What if he were to read her mind?? She couldn't stand up to him then!
Two cute endearing persons, a charming couple in the making,
They continued gazing'
It was, seconds later .
