Nokia Annual Star Screen Awards

The Nokia 15th (is it 15th) Annual Star Screen Awards is the first Awards ceremony in India in the year 2009. The biggest night for honouring excellence in cinema is here and the film fraternity is all set to celebrate it in grand style. The Nokia 15th Annual Star Screen Awards commemorates and rewards the people behind putting the biggest and the most remarkable pieces of cinematic entertainment in the year 2008. This will be aired exclusively on India's leading Hindi General Entertainment Channel, Star Plus on January 25. The hosts for the evening are Farah Khan, Sajid Khan & Shreyas Talpade. The Red Carpet is decked up to witness the most spectacular Awards nite. This year, the Red Carpet is designed as a Box Office Hall of Fame. All the stars walked the RED Carpet before the inauguration of the final awards night. CHITRANGDA SIMGH and MUGDHA GODSE

Just when the search for a heroine for PETER GAYA KAAM SE, directed by John Owens, seemed to have come to an end, the heroine has been replaced. The buzz is that Chitrangada Singh has replaced Mugdha Godse in the film.

A source close to the production house said, ''It took months to zero in on a heroine for Rajeev Khandelwal starrer PETER GAYA KAAM SE. Considering that this film was Rajeev's second film after the successful AAMIR, the production guys were very selective about the female lead. Apparently, it was the success and positive reviews of Mugdha's debut film, FASHION, that fetched Mugdha the role. However, now the female lead has been changed.''

There have been reports that the shooting for PETER GAYA KAAM SE was meant to begin in August last year. However, the production team's inability to find a heroine delayed the film's schedule first to November 2008 and then to January 2009. But what caused the change of heroine?

Mugdha said, ''There were a lot of changes in the script. And I couldn't hold on to my dates for that long.''

Does she regret missing out on the role, considering the critical acclaim that Rajeev's earlier film AAMIR garnered? She replied, ''I have no regrets that I am not doing the film. Good for Chitrangada if she is doing PETER GAYA KAAM SE.''

On the other hand Chitrangada, who has stepped into Mugdha's shoes for the film, maintained, ''I am in talks for PETER GAYA KAAM SE. I am not aware that Mugdha Godse was supposed to do my role earlier.''
