Oh Gosh, I agree with u so so much on most of what you have said👏 Exactly my thoughts, although I might be happy giving the book a 7/10 from my side😳 I totally agree - the book started off so brilliantly, but it took a slump towards the middle... I felt some parts were totally avoidable - they overdid the Spain portions a bit more than my liking... Also, towards the end, I felt there was a lot of unnecessary confusion and drama with Starthmore and Crypto and that stupid TRANSLTR threatening to get burnt 😆 For the code breaking, I think it was good till the point when they made the characters meaningful, but after that it should have been childs play and was again over stretched - the moment I saw Uranium there, I knew it was *(I edited it to avoid spoiling the suspense)😳, but somehow, those top security officials and programmers couldnt make it out😕
On the whole I still liked it😊
well often what u dont make out is the simplest thing in the world..who wud have thought that Ensie(My memory gets it right doesnt it? I am not sure if thats his name...😳) was giving it away with his hands!?😉
I liked the Crypto part n all fine...U know a "Digital Fortress", an impregnable code will absolutely ruin NSA. Strathmore obviously was very worried. I liked all that stuff. And at the end, Brown stuck to being realistic and prudent and it turned out to be a hollow threat but boy didnt it work?? TRSLATR got blown up and so did the brain behind it!(😭)...what seemed bizzare to me was that Love that propped up sumwhere down the lane b/w u know who! (pity it was a one way traffic...already reserved!)😆
and to sum extend, I found the Spain part entertaining...At the end, it was terriffic but at the same time idiotic in many ways but so be it...
Its not a bad read, But not at all a satisfying one.
