I haven't read The Resurrection. But I am a member of many fan clubs of a number authors and we were discussing Tolstoy sumwhere and I expected most of them to be raving abt War and Peace but surprisingly, many of them were of the opinion that The Resurrection is his Best. Its I think quite an underrated work of his in ways..Not many know abt it/

@ lucky-lakshmi, yes I am telling about the work of Gorkey. I own a copy of the book(translation) and when I feel I read it. Very recently I took a copy of Les Miserable from librarary and read it again. When we read these books again and again(at different age and when we get matured) we get different dimentions of it. I just feel the differences when I read these novels at teenage(most of these books read at that age) and after that.

@ lotus I am also happy to know you two are also interested in these books.

well I passed my teens only abt 2 yrs ago...so I guess I will re read these books later own to grasp that difference..

Hey, my elder daughter now in her 1st year at college and 2nd one in 8th standard, but I read all kind of books even children's magazine. Books and letters are almost god to me.

oh wow...U are way senior to me (and to lotus I think) 😳I am out of College in a few months...
I can only hope that my love and passion for books is quenched thru the tide of times too...Hope I dont lose my grip over this highly satisfying activity...
