Lol I guessed it when you said tou might read GoR for next month
Id rather give someone else a chance to be captain, but if I have to become one, im up for it. No problem.
I'll check these books out - is Rock Paper Scissors from the man's POV? Because I prefer female centric stories.
I was actually looking for some dark romance so I might read God of Ruin as well.
I had some questions regarding the theme though, please bare with me
Would you consider memory loss/amnesia a part of this theme and other similar cognitive illnesses like trauma or depression? What about illnesses like cancer?
And what about where the main character has a temporary injury like from a car accident for only some part of the book?
There are also some books where a disability is not directly mentioned, but the character is portrayed that way, with the symptoms/behaviour leading the readers to believe that he/she is autistic or so on, do those count?
And I was planning to read a Chinese novel where the FMC has memory loss for part of the book (I think the beginning). but once she gets her memory back it's not really talked about. Can I still include it in this theme?
Lastly, do the quotes have to be related to the theme as well?
I probably had more queries but I forgot them now.

I'll see if anyone else volunteers, otherwise it will be you!
I'll check these books out - is Rock Paper Scissors from the man's POV? Because I prefer female centric stories. It's a psychological thriller, and the guy has prosopagnosia. I don't think it's written entirely from the male's PoV. it's probably third person omniscient narrative, but don't quote me on that!

And what about where the main character has a temporary injury like from a car accident for only some part of the book? Yep, that will work as well. Disability is anything that affects the person's ability to function in terms of movement or senses or activities.
There are also some books where a disability is not directly mentioned, but the character is portrayed that way, with the symptoms/behaviour leading the readers to believe that he/she is autistic or so on, do those count? Yeah, we'll allow this but there needs to be a solid reasoning behind the 'diagnosis', not just a reader's intuition. Like it needs to be agreed upon by readers at large or the author may have mentioned it in an interview etc.
And I was planning to read a Chinese novel where the FMC has memory loss for part of the book (I think the beginning). but once she gets her memory back it's not really talked about. Can I still include it in this theme? Yes, you can.
Lastly, do the quotes have to be related to the theme as well? No, they can be anything from the book (similar to the Pride challenge). The review has to mention the disability part though.
I probably had more queries but I forgot them now.

Thank you for answering my questions!
I think you have also read The Crash by Freida Mcfadden. That comes under disability right? Is there any other book by her that comes under this theme apart from the wife upstairs? What about Ward D?
Am in... Please add me
Yeah Crash can come under disability. So can Ward D since it deals with mental illnessOriginally posted by: heavenlybliss
