i finished reading it a few days back...here are my thoughts about it:
the book made me cry a little throughout.

when i was done, i was soo overwhelmed with emotions that i cried a lot.

then logic hit me and i was like...wait what??

see, i feel that gus asking peter van to write hazel's eulogy was stupid...a dying girlfriend would love it if her almost dead bf writes her eulogy instead of an author he knew she thought was a douchebag...but at the end he ended u writing it, i agree, but green's thought process in this matter i did not like. gus takes the pains to write it anyway, then y send it to someone who he knows might never actually read it? why not just write the sequel like he promised, (he did use the energy in writing the eulogy...)

the thing that irritated me the most was the ending...he left it incomplete...see in the book by peter, it was left mid sentence because maybe the girl died or was too sick to write...but in TFIOS, the book seemed incomplete and with no logic as to y...

i liked d book, it was ok if you like emotional stories, but i cannot think about watching the movie, i don't think i can watch the same thing in another medium..

what r ur views??

The book was incomplete...!! Yeah this is wat I felt bad about!!!!
Trust me, for a while I was cursing myself for not checking for the pages properly while purchasing the book!! 😆

When I realized no indeed it's the end, I was like 🤓 🤔 😵!!!!

But again, it feels good to assume the unsaid part of the story!!!
Initially I cursed the author, but now I have come into various conclusions of the story which I'm loving and laughing at 😉

Gus was someone he who needs to be perfect. And eventhough Hazel and Gus found Peter Van Houten to be a douchebag, Hazel loved the way he (Peter) writes. He wanted the eulogy to be perfect, because he knows Hazel has always been much better with words (eg. the swing and the eulogy she wrote for him).
And the ending was perfect in my opinion. We all always want some proper ending. But you know what, that doesn't happen. Sometimes certain story or certain part ends after one is gone. And after Gus died, the story ended there, because there was nothing more to tell. Hazel and Gus's story ends there. That's what Green was trying to say, though!
