Well I can't remember where I read it sorryđł but here goes -
-Nothing lasts forever, so live it up, drink it down. laugh it off, avoid all the bulls**t take chances and never have regrets because at one point everything you did was exactly what YOU wanted.
- True Love doesn't have a happy ending, it doesn't have an ending.

I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do. ~Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird
I love the idea that to be brave, doesn't necessarialy mean that you'll win or that its easy. It means that to be brave you must always stand up for what is right not easy. That to me was the premise of this quote and the book itself. The book also has alot more wonderful quotes that I love, another one :"They're certainly entitled to think that, and they're entitled to full respect for their opinions... but before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience." - Again you must always do what is right for you to live with yourself."Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing." I think everyone here can relate to this quote."You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view--until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it." Since I read this, when I was much younger, I've always tried to interact with people like this. I can't honestly say I've always succeeded, but I do try. There are alot more wonderful quotes from this novel and if you haven't read it I suggest you do. Harper Lee was an amazing writer and To Kill a Mockingbird was her one and only work. I think she said that with this book, she said all that she need to say and therefore she didn't need to write another one. Our Loss i guess, but the messages here are to live by.
Loved the Italicized quote... aptly fits my current mind frame. And this is how you work through the beautiful thing they call 'LIFE'"Tomorrow is another day"
from Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell.
This may not make sense out of context, but in the book it speaks volumes about Scarlett's determination and spirit of survival.
Another quote that always reminds me of GWTW is :
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going"
I don't think this one's from a novel though.
