Has anyone read the book "A thousand Splended Suns" by the author Khaled Hosseini?
I read it last week and simply fell in love with it.
Its about 2 women and how their lives cross. The story takes place in Afghanistan during a war.
A thousand Splended Suns is an amazing book, it makes you want to cry, it makes you want to read more and it may disturb you. But the fact is that the things that happen in this book DO happen and HAVE happened. People who live in Canada (like myself) USA and many more don't know what people have to go through in Afghanistan every day. I thought this book was a real eye-opener.
Another book I really loved by Khaled Hosseini was "Kite Runner" while "A thousand Splended Suns" is more on the womens side, "Kite Runner" is a story about a man. I also loved this book. And my now all time favorite quote has been takin from this book "For you a thousand times over" 😊
I think these two books are a MUST READ 😃
