Do You Tend to Skip Over the Lines?

Hello Friends! 🤗

Well, I was wondering if you guys tend to skip over the lines. For example, you are reading a paragraph and you know that at the end of it, the author is revealing a biiig secret.... And what makes it more prominent is that that line/word has a different font, style.

Do you feel the urge to skip over what you are reading and read the that part first.. Then maybe come back and read it over?

I don't why, but I almost feel the need to do that. It's like I am trying to stop my eyes from doing that but they do it in spite of that 😳 No seriously, sometimes I even put my hand over that part and don't reveal it until I have read everything above it.

Well, share your experiences... Is there any particular book that you can think of that you did this?

First time I read a book.. I confess, I just may.

but if I really enjoy the book, when I reread it.. I notice those other details and such I overlooked, and those do end up becoming my favourite little bits.

Just like you, I've got roaming eyes, and it just happens sometimes Laugh Out Loud But I make myself stop and go back. Also, I'm one of those people who can't skip lines, even chunks out of the story, even if it is utterly boring. I guess I'm kind of OCD'ish about reading everything and missing nothing Stick Out Tongue

Sometimes I tend to "skim" over a paragraph or two when I'm too lazy to read or if it's just too PLAIN BORING...
Usually when I'm trying to finish a page or the chapter I do that sometimes but not a lot... haha even if it's so boring I still pretty much read all the lines

You hit the bull's eye fot this one with me in this topic. I absolutely hate settings and no matter how much I try not skipping it my eyes betray me. They are very disobedient in such situations and I have this dirty habit of reading the last chapter first. I know its a bad habit but i just can't help it. I read the end first and then I go back and start from the beginning and read start to end.😳
