Salman, SRK at War
While Katrina Kaif's birthday party at Olive was one to be noted for its stunning guest list, it is now in the news for all the wrong reasons. News within Bollywood suggests that it was the venue for a showdown between Shah Rukh and Salman.
Both superstars are known to give back as good as they get and not afraid to get down and dirty, let loose on one another. Although the fight may have broken on Kat's birthday party, close friends say that this fight between the two Khans has been brewing for a while now.
"When Paanchvi Pass rolled around, SRK heard news of Salman's telly show. To add to his misery Dus ka Dum is doing much better than SRK's show and knowing how competitive SRK is this didn't go down well with King Khan. Salman on the other hand is known to be quite carefree and doesn't bring professional rivalry into the personal space. The same can't be said about SRK."
"Now when they met on Katrina's party this underlying tension came to the surface. Salman was already in quite high spirits. So in true Sallu's humourous style he began taking the mickey out of SRK. Now SRK who normally sees no harm in pulling other people's leg didn't like it when things turned on him. So he decided to give it back to him… now both being in high spirits weren't ready to let go and as a result almost came to blows. It was Gauri and Karan Johar who quickly took things over to part the two warring Khans. The three of them immediately walked out of Olive visibly upset with how their host Salman had behaved with SRK," says the source.
While neither star is ready to comment on the spat just yet, this is not the first time that the two superstars have been at each other. "Salman and SRK had stopped talking to each other from the days of Chalte Chalte. In fact since Arbaaz and SRK are really good friends, Arbaaz had even asked SRK to explain to Salman what a wrong influence Ash was on Salman. But at that point Ash was the centre of Salman's world. And so an upset Sallu cut off ties with SRK only to mend their relationship on Farah Khan's shaadi. After that SRK invited Salman and Katrina on KBC 3. And although Kat and Salman never appear as a couple anywhere, they did this for SRK. But now Salman is said to be very upset with SRK and has also made it quite clear that he won't be inviting him on his show or talking to him. In fact he has made it clear to his close friends and family that they need to pick their side – its either him or SRK!"
