Priyanka gives Harman a 9 on 10
Love Story 2050 was touted as a film heavy on special effects and a futuristic look. However, for a film to succeed, what's required is a strong story line. Going by the indifferent response from the audience and critics it looks like the film lacked just that. Nevertheless, despite the average collection at the box-office, Priyanka is still gung ho about the film as well as her co-star Harman Baweja's future in Bollywood. She said, "The film has got a good response over the weekend and we are very happy about that. While the critics' response wasn't great, there was an overall appreciation towards us and the special affects in the film."
Ask her if releasing it alongside Aamir Khan's production, Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, was a mistake, she thinks otherwise. According to reports, Harry Baweja had asked Aamir Khan to postpone the release of his film, but the latter didn't agree to it. Priyanka says, "Every producer wants a solo release for his film. Harry sir had also requested the entire industry for a solo release. However, I don't think just because another love story released on the same day, a film should get affected."
While the premiere of Love Story 2050 happened in London without much fanfare, Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na was launched in Mumbai amongst the who's who of the film industry. Yet, Priyanka doesn't think that hype created by the premiere affected her film.
Priyanka also spoke about Harman, her boy friend, who made his debut with this love story. According to her, "No actor shows his full potential with his first film. Still, I would give Harman a nine on ten. I give a lot of credit to him as he achieved a lot. As a newcomer, I would give myself one on ten."
