When did critisizing VIdya started?

I just thought about it as I was watching Parineeta.

When did the media actually started criticizing Vidya's dress sense.....it wasn't there before. She was always prasied for her acitng abilities and all but suddenly now you hear about her dresses only.

I think it started after her name was linked with Shahid...and I wonder WHY?

wasnt it after Heyy Babyy?..
or maybe a little while before that..

No it started with Hey Baby. It has nothing to do with Shahid. She was praised for her acting in Parineeta and LRMB, but Hey Baby seems to have been a bad step for her. Ever since she did that movie, I've noticed an anti-Vidya campaign in the media.

^ Yeah thats when it happened, actaully her clothes in 'Heyy Babyy' weren't perfect, but she didn't have a hand in that did she..I have to say though I throughly disliked that orange suite she wore on the Filmfare evening.

I agree that orange suit was hideous, and the fact that she was busting out if it didn't help matters either. I understand that sometimes designers are to be blamed, but stars can't place the entire blame on them. After all, its their bodies and they should have some idea about what looks good or bad on them.

I know shes such a good actor and yet all media does is put her down for her weight or looks good on her for being normal

it started when they couldn't say anything about her acting and also when they figured out that it doesn't make a difference to her.

So its not a publicity stunt... 😉

Well in today's world good or bad - Publicity is publicity....

But seriously I thought after her pairing with Shahid it all started - she looks old, aunty, amma, look at her wiered dress and what not...

I know, everything is focused on how she looks rather than her acting but i'd be a hypocrite to say that i've never commented about how she looks and her fashion sense, its all due to the nareel award at filmfare, i blame srk + saif 😆
