Between the covers

Italy: Kareena Kapoor will be seen on the cover page of of an international magazine worldwide. She recently shot for it in Chiswick House, a heritage site in London.

It's a first!

A source close to the actress says, "She was in London for the shoot apart from meeting beau Saif Ali Khan, who is shooting there before leaving for Los Angeles for Kambhakt Ishq. She was put up at the Bentley hotel where she was picked up in a limousine."

The source adds, "She is the first actress to have done a shoot in the Chiswick House.

The concerned authorities granted her permission considering her fan following in London.
This property is off limits for shoots but it was specially opened for Bebo's shoot."

The actress was styled by Desiree who is the name behind Hollywood stars like Nicole Kidman. Louis Vuitton clothes and accessories were specially flown in from Paris and it was shot by fashion photographer Trevor Leighton. In the interview, Kareena has spoken on her life, career and about Saif.

Style tips

Says Kareena, "It was great fun shooting with such well-known international names. I wasn't apprehensive at all."

About being the only star to shoot in the heritage property, she says, "It was really beautiful and I was so excited. Desiree and I exchanged a lot of the latest styling tips."


What is the Chiswick House?

It was built in 1726 and belonged to Lord Burlington, whose taste and skill as an architect are well-known.

The octagonal domed Palladian villa is inspired by the Villa Capra La Rotonda near Vicenza in Italy.

It is considered a fine example of 18th century architecture, with its colonnaded portico on the upper storey, the frescoed ceilings, the velvet rooms and the stone rooms.
