Shahid Kapoor's rolling ways

Shahid Kapur discovered his penchant for roller-blading, while shooting for Kismet Konnection in Canada. In fact, he became so skilled at it that his director Aziz Mirza decided to incorporate a scene with Shahid skating on the blades over ice. Roller-blading, which is akin to skating but on blades instead of wheels, is quite a popular sport in Canada.

Says a source from the production unit of Kismet Konnection, "The shooting schedule of Kismet Connection in Canada was very long and poor Shahid got bored sitting around for two months. It was then that he came across a bunch of youngsters doing roller-blading. He liked it so much that he started learning the sport in his free time and soon became a pro at it."

Adds the source, "Shahid mastered the sport so well that the director of Kismet Konnection included a scene with Shahid roller-blading in one of the songs."

However, Shahid had a small problem, he could not stop the rollers. He learnt how to control the speed but did not know how to come to a halt.

So, a man was appointed to help Shahid whenever he had to come to a halt so that he didn't ram into the lights and cameras on the sets.

The source says, "Shahid took it upon himself to learn how to stop on his own. After a number of falls, he finally mastered that art."
