The premiere night of Jimmy was a starry affair. Being son Mimoh's debut film, Mithun had a big reason to celebrate. The actor invited all his old friends from Bollywood and the premiere night almost doubled up as a reunion.
His yesteryear co-stars Padmini Kolhaoure, Govinda, Sunil Shetty, Danny and even old friend Madhuri Dixit who happened to be in Mumbai turned up with husband Sriram Nene at the premiere. However, Mithun's beahviour did not exactly please Madhuri and all the more her husband Dr. Nene.
A non-Bollywood personality, Madhuri's husband got visibly irritated with Mithun's overfriendly gestures towards Madhuri. According to an eyewitness, Mithun was quite high by the time Madhuri and her husband walked in. He greeted them and then took them to the lobby where the entire media pounced on Madhuri for bytes.
And if this wasn't enough to irritate Dr. Nene who is not used to facing such situations, Mithun's constant patting Madhuri and getting touchy left him terribly upset. Not surprisingly, he and Madhuri made a quick backdoor exit only a few minutes after they had arrived at the premiere party. It can be recollected that Madhuri and Mithun's companionship goes back a long way to films like 'Pyar Ka Devta', 'Mujrim', 'Prem Pratigya' and 'Ilaka'.
