This is Masoom . Beautiful movie, made by Shekhar Kapur (Mr India director). Jugal Hansraj and Urmila Matondkar were child artists, where Jugal gave a mind - blowing performance as a kid. Ladki ki Kathi is one of most famous kid songs from Bollywood, it is from this film. Film revolves around the illegitimate son of Naseerudin Shah (Jugal Hansraj), and how his wife (played by Shabana Azmi) and kids (one of the kids is Urmila) accept this young boy into their family when his mother dies and reveals to Naseer about the boy, forcing Naseer to take the boy into their family. Jugal Hansraj's mother was played by Supriya Pathak (Pankaj Kapur's second wife [Shahid Kapur's stepmom])
