Director Ram Gopal Verma's troubles aren't over yet. With the fierce legal battle going on between director Verma and T- series owner Bhushan Kumar, there is every likelihood of the movie's release being further delayed. This is to recall that in June 2006 Ram Gopal Verma assigned Audio & Home Video rights of his 14 forthcomings films including 'Sarkar Raaj' to T-Series in an agreement dated 13th June 2006 and T-Series paid Rs. five million as part payment. T-Series paid towards promotion of the films released under the said agreement namely, 'Nishabd', 'Shiva', 'Darwaja Band Rakho' and 'RGV Ki Aag'. However in May 2007, having seen the performance of Ramu's past films, T-Series sought a re-negotiation of the prices and terms of the agreement. Both agreed for downward revision of the consideration amount for the upcoming projects and settled the past loss making projects on an already incurred basis.
In the meanwhile T-Series claims to have spent about Rs. 14 million on publicity for 'RGV Ki Aag', of which Rs. 5 million were adjusted toward consideration for 'RGV ki Aag', Rs. 5 million towards consideration for 'Sarkar Raj' and Rs. 4 million were to be adjusted on future films to be produced by RGV. However, T-series alleges that Ramu terminated the agreement later on saying the documents shown by T-Series were forged and the video and music rights of his films were not officially owned by T-Series! T-Series adds that Ramu has had a problem with everyone... Boney Kapoor, K Sera Sera and now even Adlabs! So, 'Sarkar Raaj' would definitely be delayed unless the issue is resolved. Though the movie was to release in April but now it may not hit the screens before July.
