Sonu Nigam's female fans are finding innovative ways of expressing their adulation. Recently, the singer received some ladies under-garments from his female fans with phone numbers written on them at the HMV office. He recently shot for an album called Classically Mild which was released by HMV. Sonu's female fans sent him gifts of women's lingerie with their phone numbers written on them."
Adds the source, "We have heard of love letters from fans but this gift was certainly eccentric. We forwarded them to Sonu's office following which we got a call from his manager Ben Thomas asking if it was a joke. When we told him that these were actually sent as gifts to Sonu, he couldn't believe it."
When contacted, Sonu Nigam confirms that he did indeed receive the strange gifts. He says, "I am quite amused by the sudden transformation of my image."
His business manager Ben Thomas adds, "We have been receiving all sorts of phone calls and love letters from Sonu's female fans. Some of them are from Bangladesh and Pakistan who keep calling on the office numbers asking for Sonuji."
He further adds, "However, this incident beats them all. When HMV office sent me the packets of undergarments I thought it was a joke. When I called them, they informed me that they have been receiving these gifts for nearly two weeks now. I guess his new album Classically Mild has changed Sonu's image."
