Does this really sound like a selfish person just doing good deeds for publicity? I think not. To me if she were really selfish, she could've used her money selfishly. But instead she's using her talk show to appeal to people to help those in poverty, to help those truly impoverished. I find that admirable! 😊

Listen I've no insults towards Aishwarya. I think she is the epitome of grace and I admire the way she conducts herself without demeaning herself and anybody else. Not to mention, she's undoubtedly the most prettiest person in India, if not the world. I also think she was fabulous in JA, and had an out-of-the-world fantastic chem with Hrithik. The thing is, as I said, if the award was for Best woman of the entertainment Industry, I honestly wouldn't mind, infact I would be the first ones to say well-deserved. But when it comes to social works, or who contributes to the well-being of women, I find that there are many other people who should be recognized, such as Oprah! 😊

I understand...but then Oprah lacks some qualities which ASH has..so yh..n is it only Oprah left in thr world to compete with ASH..

U guyz dunt knw that the article was from the Indian Newspaper...so ofcoz it was talking abt the Indian Woman of The Year...ppl here dont think first n start writing rubbish abt her...why would they think abt other women from the west n consider them as woman of the year leaving the women of their own country...itz absolute rubbish to jst keep on degrading the women of ur own country...ASH is not from my country but I still love n respect her..coz thatswht she deserves...try to encourage the women of ur country first n then think abt others...

Well if you read my previous posts, I also mentioned Jasvinder Kaur who actually stopped forced marriages of woman in India, she even risked for life for woman equality! 😊 I only talked about Oprah more coz somebody was insulting her

I know you have your opinion, but what is the preaching about "how we who don't support Ash are degrading the country" Plz don't judge me becoz of my opinions. I haven't criticized you as being biased or judgemental, have I? So I expect the same from you.

I guess we'll agree to disagree, I expect different things from a woman of the year. Yes I don't expect she must be a paragon of morality, but she should be a social worker and contribute greatly towards the welfare of women. You probably expect a woman who has achieved a lot and made an international name of herself! If so power to you! But plz don't criticize me based on "not encouraging" the woman of my country! 😛

got married to Mr Bachan's son for the bachan title. yeah you could say that is a clever move.

the media are just trying to keep aish in the limelight because she is well known internationally.

^^ i don't hate aish i just think she is very overated and is not 'woman of the year' material because she has done nothing at all to get that title.

i would never say aish is ugly shes obviously good looking but for me thats not enough she is not an exceptional actress anyone who thinks she is must have a very low IQ. i remember on koffee with karan kareena said its easy to be in a big budget movie with great actors directors and be told your successful. which really made me think of aish and i think thats who kareena was talking about.

although aish has tried to do films that push her to act better but she failed miserably just look at provoked and

look at the film fraternity how many people has aish upset? quite a few which does not say much for her ice cold personality. she may be beautiful but shes definitely not a good person and people need to accept that. being diplomatic does not mean your a sweet person.
