Emraan gets ready to expose!!
Ever since he made his debut in FOOTPATH, Emraan Hashmi has mostly acted in fun flicks or the ones where he is required to be a part of adulterous/infidelity drama. However, with JANNAT he would be changing colors, as he would be a part of an issue-based film.
As Arjun, a bookie who is a part of an international syndicate dealing with match fixing, Emraan's character exposes the nexus between highly placed individuals in the world of cricket. Though he is a part of the same world, his character does realize that in his quest for 'jannat', there is a lot that eventually gets lost in the bargain.
Directed by debutant Kunal Shivdasani, this dramatic thriller not just exposes match fixing and betting but also hits upon newspaper headlines, which have screamed the Bob Woolmer episode and also the scandals involving Indian cricketers Azhar & Jadeja in the past.
