Bollywood's chocolate boy who shot to fame in a very short span celebrated his 27th. Alas, this time he is missing Bebo who has been her girlfriend for several years. He may be feeling his recent split with her, and more so because she has been seen coming closer to chhote nawab Saif Ali Khan. Born to renowned actor Pankaj Kapoor of TV serial Karamchand fame and actress and classical dancer Neelima Azim, Shahid started his career by working in music videos and ads, but he made his Bollywood debut as a background dancer in Subhash Ghai's 'Taal'. After four years, he made his debut as a leading actor in Ken Ghosh's 'Ishq Vishk' and got a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance. But later he had a number of flops in his kitty. However, 2007 proved a good year for Shahid as his film 'Vivah' opposite Amrita Rao proved a great hit And, his latest 'Jab We Met ' opposite Kareena Kapoor released post his split with her took him to still greater fame . This resulted in getting him offers from as big a banner as Yash Raj Films. The latter signed him for their upcoming ventures. Meanwhile the media started linking him with several young actresses, especially his female co-stars. First, he was said to be very close with Amrita Rao , his co-star in 'Vivah' and later with Vidya Balan with whom he would be seen in upcoming films like Aziz Mirza's 'Kismet Konnection'. By now, Shahid has learnt to live without Kareena and will most likely shine more and more in Yash Raj Film's ventures though untitled as yet. We wish him a very , very happy birthday.
