Aamir keen to sign Ranbir for his production Delhi Belly

Aamir Khan has already tried his hand at acting, producing and recently even directing. The actor has had good success in all of these. Now Aamir Khan is all set to produce his first English film and no doubt the perfectionist that he, he always wants the best for his film. The film which is an action comedy has been titled Delhi Belly and sources claim that Aamir is keen to cast bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor in the film.

Delhi Belly will be Aamir's first English production and the film will be directed by Swedish director Robert Nylund. Aamir Khan is extremely impressed with Ranbir's acting in his debut film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariyaa. A source claims "Aamir is very keen to sign Ranbir for Delhi Belly and has already spoken to him about the film. Ranbir has loved the script. He has given his go-ahead for the film and will be signing the film soon." Director Robert too has met Ranbir and considers him a good choice for the film. Delhi Belly is an English action comedy set in Delhi. Although Aamir Khan will be producing the film, he will not act in it. However Aamir was keen to be a part of the film earlier, he wanted to play the role of a character called Nitin. But Aamir has now decided not to act in the film as he will be going off on a vacation with his kids, son Junaid and daughter Aira after he completes the shooting for Ghajini. Aamir Khan's film Delhi Belly is slated to go on the floors in a few months and a major part of the cast and crew will be from Hollywood.

Aamir Khan's Hindi debut directorial film, Taare Zameen Par which released just some time back, has received a lot of praise and appreciation. The film has won the Filmfare Award for Best Film and also the Filmfare Award for Best Director was awarded to Aamir Khan. Taare Zameen Par has won several other awards. Aamir has once again chosen to do something different and that is producing a film in English, and though it will undoubtedly have a niche audience, everyone is still curious to know what the film's story will be about.
