It's time to prepare for another superstar wedding now that Aditya Chopra and his wife Payal Khanna have finally filed for divorce.

The divorce, by mutual consent, will be final in May. And that's when Adi is all set to tie the knot with Rani Mukherji. In the meantime, Aditya Chopra and his wife are living out the mandatory six month separation period.

"Once the divorce is signed, both Rani and Adi are eager to tie the knot," reveals a close family friend. "Though there have been rumours that they are already engaged, that is all untrue.

Adi was very particular about getting the divorce first before formalising anything else," he says. Once all the legalities of the divorce are settled, the couple plans to have a grand wedding in Mumbai. That's still sometime in the future. Right now, Adi still has to deal with his family.

Papa Yash Chopra and mom Pamela are still said to be head over heels in love with their bahu Payal. So much so, that they have refused to accept Rani.

Sources close to the family reveal that the situation had become so bad that Chopra senior had asked his son to walk away from the Rs 1,000 crore-Yash Raj empire, which Aditya has played huge part in building. On the other hand, Payal was gifted a plush bungalow in Khar, Mumbai, by her in-laws.

And after the divorce she will get Rs 25 crore as alimony. It's not just the Chopras who disapprove of their son's alliance, Rani's parents aren't thrilled with it either.

"Even Rani's parents are not very happy about the alliance," says a prominent director and a close friend of the actress.

"That's why Rani had to move out." Rani Mukherji moved out of her family home and into her own pad Janaki Kutir in Juhu two months ago, a surprising move for this family girl.

Going by the buzz in the industry, once the couple is married, they will certainly be one of Bollywood's most powerful couples. "Adi is the prince of Yash Raj empire, and Rani is of course a reigning queen of Bollywood," says a designer friend.

Ok for me I just do not like girls who break marriages to get what they want.

I have respect for girls like - Kajol, Madhuri, Juhi, Twinkle Khanna, Priety Zinta who maintains that they do not want to have anything to do with Married men.

I am very strong in that opinion but sadly my opinion does not matter. Rani would be playing in money andI get to write in IF about her 😆
