The toons of Toonpur...

What happens when Ajay Devgan lands in the land of cartoons? That's a Rs. 40 crore question posed by producer Kumar Mangat who recently embarked on his most ambitious project Toonpur Ka Superhero, India's first 3D Live Action Animation film directed by Adman, Kireet Khurana. Playing the reel life movie star, Devgan has his tremendously talented wife, Kajol, alongside him in what seems to be a fun trip of 'U Me Aur Cartoons'!

We at Bollywood Hungama got hold of a few animated characters from the film. Now, since we don't have any backgrounder on what the characters are meant to be in the film except their names, we put our own imagination and tried weaving brief poems to define each character in our own way. In a two part slideshow, we'll introduce you to some of the animated characters which have been created for this film. Hope you have fun with Guppy, Lappy, Loveena and gang!

Guppy

There's a little bit of guppy in all of us
Imagination guitar always creates a fuss
Mischievous Pied Piper of rumours
Miscommunication bird flutters
Its itching-to-bitch wings,
The naughty heart carelessly sings
The idle notes of gossiping one hears
A toothy smile is unleashed for it has no fears

Jaagaro

I'm a distant cousin of Batman
But I can do what Satan can
The evil eyes gunning for an excuse
To kill someone that's of no use
When I fold my hands in anger
Lightening strikes…a sign of danger
I'm a vulture with the speed of an eagle
A realist who believes in a life that's regal

Lappy

A computer programmer from Chennai
They call me Lappy, I don't know why
I may be gawky but still I get the job done
A beautiful mind that's seldom on the run
My calculations are always spot on
Lack of confidence is my only thorn
I'm a man wedded to my traditions
So what if I have a few inhibitions

Loveena

The girl in Loveena wishes to be a lady soon
A playful cloud over the misty moon
Decorated with the brilliance of a starry night
Like the morning dew sprinkled bright
I'm a blooming flower dripping with pride
Too much male-gaze, yet I search for a genuine guide
He shall teach me lessons of love-n-life
Who knows I may end up as his wife!
