Shahrukh Khan has ruled Bollywood for a decade now and one actress even went on to say that in the industry in "only Sex or Shahrukh Khan sells". The actor has kept his numero uno position last year with two back to back hits Chak De India and Om Shanti Om. But Shahrukh never faced the threat to his position as he did last year with many other stars giving hits to the box office.

Akshay Kumar with four back to back hits from Nameste London to Welcome has emerged as the highest paid actor in the industry. Abhishek Bachchan finally lived upto his genes with his performance in Guru. Aamir Khan rocked back into the industry with his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par. Hrithik Roshan with his latest release Jodhaa Akbar promises to be a threat to Shahrukh.

is johnny depp threat to george clooney or tom cruise threat to brad pitt or are they threat to each other.
grow up showbiz is not for only one person evryon is working togther as far as srk is concerned i have been hearing about it srk fading year after year actualy every year but it hasn't happen yet and never will cuz srk is the best srk just had two realeases and totally different genre and both were block buster.

he is no longer numero uno, all the people are giving blockbusters now...he is not the only one!

i think that its the beginning of the end...no star has seen stardom the way rajesh khanna did in the 60s and 70s...and even he is gone today...shahrukh will be gone soon too....and then there will be another guy....and he will go too...it always happens...and will continue to happen...

exactly and well said he is still going strong and always doing and trying new things which is good hes got atleast another few years but yes there will come a time where he will not play same type of roles like person above said george clooney and brad pitt are 40 odd and going strong!

im not a big SRK fan but even I am vouching that nobody can take his number one position from him just yet. I agree other contendors are emerging be it hrithik akshay or the khans but SRK then and now has remained at the top spot. at the moment he is only contending with Big B the rest in his comparison are small-fry.

The reason is the indian masses can relate to SRK more than they can anyone else. Romance is what appeals to the masses and it is what SRK has mastered.

as well as this he has charisma.

thats not to say the others dont, but I really dont see anyone replacing SRK.

The only way he will fade is if he retired himself and then never made any public appearances, but for a superstar like SRK thats impossible

Nobody can ever take away SRK's number one status.

There are so many actors in the film industry today and I dont think that all of them can actually give the same amount of hits SRK has given.

Akshay has given blockbuster films but at the end of the day everyone would rather see SRK instead of him.

Nobody can beat the fame and power SRK has abroad and in India.

Even if they try, they will fall flat on their faces.

Ture, nothing lasts forever.

SRK will eventually stop playing the characters he is playing currently but its the history that people wont be able to forget and remove and that is the fact that he was the best actor and also the pride of the film industry. He took films to a new level overseas and I dont think any Bollywood actor has.

Even Europeans who dont know a word of hindi, knows SRK.

Thats the amount of fame and power he has.

I love SRK and will always love him 😳 😳

I think it is still too early to fighter over this issue.

He WILL retire but not too soon. Hrithink is sure the biggest competitor for SRK.
