Aamir quits smoking… finally
Actor Aamir Khan has finally kicked his smoking habit.
The actor had written on his blog that he would quit smoking as a part of his New Year resolution but was unable to do it right at the start of 2008. Writing in his blog, the actor says that he smoked his last cigarette before writing his latest installment. He jokes that he had postponed updating his blog because he hadn't quit the habit as promised.

Khan's blog shows that the superstar has a very busy start to 2008 planned for himself - beginning with the filming for Ghajini to getting ready for his international flick Delhi Belly which will be filmed in March. The actor has written a to-do list for himself which includes working on the DVD of TZP, working on Aamir Khan Productions' next release JAANE TU as well as start prep work on the other one that AKP is producing later this year which is yet untitled.
And last but not least the actor says he plans to do the mundane routine job like you and me – that of cleaning his study and cupboard. "So much junk has piled up in my rooms. Everyday I look at the mess and promise myself I'll get down to it at some point," writes Khan.
Before signing off the actor has also spoken about an issue that has been on the lips of most Indians for the past three weeks – India's cricket tour to Australia. "Let us celebrate India's win over Australia. What a glorious win! Sweet and well deserved. We would have won the earlier Test as well had it not been for the remarkably bad luck with the umpiring. All the more satisfying because we beat a team which is unfortunately very arrogant and decidedly badly behaved on the cricket field. My sincere apologies to fans of Australian Cricket but I fail to understand why arguably the best team in the world has to behave so badly on the field. Or why this team feels the need to use excessively aggressive heckling to try and win a match. Can't they just play better? I mean I don't see Federer or Roddick misbehaving with each other or anyone. Well to each his own I guess. I just wish the Indian team didn't get influenced by this childish display. We should just quietly play better and win… or lose, as the case may be. But play with dignity," says the actor who isn't known for his diplomacy skills.
The actor signs off by thanking his entire cast and crew of TZP and the last sentence speaks a thousand words as it shows him possibly extending an olive branch to the real man behind TZP – Amole Gupte – who has often been overlooked in the film's success. "At this point I would like to publicly thank the cast and crew of TZP for being so supportive to me in my debut film. I would not have been able to achieve anything without the hard work and commitment from all who have been involved in the entire process. Right from the research to the release," ends the star.
