ok first off kangana is not sidelined as an actresses, she got most of the best debut awards, the only reason is that maybe in recent times she hasnt had a good movie where her talent would be appreciated, ofcourse she wouldnt get as much hype as sonbir or deepika because of the kind of movie or the banner she worked for, the bigger film you get, the more recognition you get, priyanka chopra is not a star kid and she has gone a longgg way, and i dont think ash, rani, preity have star parents either but they are huge stars...

and "MrsAckles" i would like to tell you that in my first post i made it clear but i shud tell u again, i dont have a problem with the fact that she cant speak english, my problem is that she speaks it even though she can't, if this is india we are talking about then she should speak in hindi and be proud of her mother tounge, i bet u a lot of people would admire her for that

and the star kids only get recognition and movies if they have talent, there are star kids who dont have much recognition despite the fact that their parents are super stars, for ex - tushar kapoor, and nobody appreciated abhishek bachchan until he started doing good movies to showcase his acting skills, like yuva

and also if star kids have an advantage over others, they have their share of disadvantages too, for example hritik roshan, so many people tell him he is a star only because he is a star kid and he is only good in movies made by his dad, we all know how much hritik has to strive to prove to people how wrong they are, if star kids are overhyped because of star parents, they are also overshadowed by star parents

bolly_babe I don't know what your talking about cuz Hrithik was good in he's first movie, I think he's way better than he's dad so don't even add Hrithik to lame over hyped star kids. Kareena-Karishma is part of the talent itself, they made their beauty and talent famous and people recognize them for that

i think either i didnt know how to word it or u misinterpreted my words because wat i was saying is exactly wat u are saying, Hritik was really good in his first movies and hritik totally deserves wat he has and more, wat i said was even though hritik has all the talent he was still critized because people said he is only good in his dad's movies, that is why i said star kids have there own disadvantages...

Ofcourse being a star kid u have so many advantages....n its totally infair to those equally talented people who wish to be launched in the biggest banners of industry......

even when they start with flops,
their dads launch them in biggest projects....

to be honest hritik became popular after krish and dhoom 2,
and the films were launched by his dad....

so being a star kid, its not difficult for u to bag a bigger project 😊

As far as star kids/models being admired. Do not know 😆 😆 😆 . A lady down the road from me did more social work and has had her share of ups and downs in life but I would rather buy a magazine with a celebrity on the cover than with her picture on the cover.😆 😆 😆 Human nature or human genes I guess 😆 😆need for reverence of someone 'above' us 😆 😆 😆

I wouldn't call Deepika a "Star Kid" because Prakash Padukone wasn't an actor! 😉

true as! when u r a star kid n start ur career with a flop all the big banners, diretors, producers or whoever wans to be the one to have established the career of the star kid..whereas if another new actor (especially those who come from less glamorous background) gets written off on their debut film..dat is the end of their career in bollywood....

sure star kids have their share of disadvantages but its the question of who has the bigger advantages not how many advantages,,,and star kids sure win in that case

this goes back to maya's question about it doesnt matter about connection. Yes it does matter about connection. no matter how much you have experinece in films etc...
struggling is the worst right now for every person trying their hand in filmmakig. where star kids are reasonally already have the connections. i remember when sonam said that Anil had worked with SLB and thats how they met. it's more of having better connection in films than being a star kid. if Jeetuji had better film line than tushaar would have had better films.
now this goes back to Pia Shah- whose making her debut in 8by10 has done many independents...having atleast 0 connection still got a break in bollywood... im not sure about that. Maybe Nagesh believes more on Acting wise than star kids.

Yes, Star kids already have fans...
plus some of the actors/actress cannot act for crap but still get into films 😡 ..that also goes for star kids
