Vidhu Vinod Chopra seemed to do everything in his power to take his film Eklavya to the Oscars, and justify it's presence there. And while doing so, he ruffled quite a few feathers. One of those hugely upset was Shah Rukh Khan. Chopra stated that no one had opposed Paheli, when it was sent to the Oscars in 2005, even though there were better films during that year. His statement came at a time when SRK was about to start shooting for Raj Kumar Hirani's adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel, Five Point Something, to be produced by Chopra. SRK took offence and walked out of the project. The film has still not taken off.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's wedding was one of the highlights of 2007. But the experience was not one of the best for journalists, stationed outside the Bachchan homes. Wedding pictures were not circulated to the media, making them desperate for one. On the last day of the wedding, when a photographer tried to come close to the Bachchans, he was kicked by some bodyguards and was seriously injured. The media decided to boycott the Bachchans even though he apologised the next day. The boycott lasted a couple of days, but soon, everything was sorted out.

Anurag has always been very blunt in his opinions. The problem started when he started criticising Karan Johar and Yash Chopra's films. Karan retorted that Anurag had lost his head and needed to get treatment. But by the end of the year, the two directors patched up. Last heard, Anurag was roped in to write dialogues for Karan's next.o
The trouble between Dutt and Gupta began after director Apoorva Lakhia claimed that he did not get paid in full for his film, Shootout At Lokhandwala, produced by White Feather Films. Apoorva and Gupta had a fallout, as the latter denied the allegations.
Dutt and Gupta were thick friends, and set up a production company together called White Feather Films. But in a surprise move, Dutt walked out of the company and formed his own, Sanjay Dutt Productions. It is rumoured that Dutt was not too happy with Gupta's business dealings. That was when his girlfriend Manyata came into the picture and, apparently, helped Dutt ease Gupta out.
It was a war of mentor and disciple. Salman had given Himesh a break in films, when the latter was going through a low phase. But once Himesh became an actor, he decided not to score music for any other banner. It was also reported in newspapers that Salman may have been jealous of Himesh's soaring popularity, especially at a certain stage show they were both a part of. No wonder when Salman was a guest judge on Zee Sa Re Ga Ma, he made his displeasure public and poked fun at Himesh throughout the show.
Karan Johar seemed to enjoy a controversial year at Koffee With Karan. When he asked Farah Khan about Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she said, 'Lily, don't be silly.' This offended Bhansali, as he felt it was unfair on Farah's part to poke fun at his mother, Leela's name. Farah apologised later, but it was too late.
Aamir khan found himself out of favour with Amitabh Bachchan when he told the media that he did not like Black, a film starring the Big B. And Aamir being the perfectionist that he is, he went on to say why exactly he did not like the film, and pointed out its loopholes. Amitabh retaliated by saying that the film must have gone over Aamir's head, and giving him the cold shoulder. Apparently, Aamir tried to make peace but Amitabh was not in the mood. Finally, Aamir got a chance to meet him when he went over to the Bachchan home to offer condolences when Amitabh's mother, Teji, passed away.
That they don't get along was quite apparent during the shooting of the 2004 film, Aitraaz, starring the two women. But last year, Kareena put it on record on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan. Bebo said that Priyanka was 'not a great actress,' and that they were not friends. Interestingly, this came after the two did another film together: Don. Priyanka, however, responded in a dignified manner that Kareena's opinion did not matter.
