The 'Taare Zameen Par' dreamy kid Darsheel Safary is the talk of the town with his film drawing generous applauses from all sides. Darsheel, Aamir's new find is being surely hailed as the new kid star in the block. In this interview, we catch up with the wonderchild and know more about his experience.
Excerpts from an interview:
So now that your Taare Zameen Par has released and is gathering positive feedbacks from all sides, how does it feel?
It feels nice.
Are you eager to get back to school and books?
Yes, actually now the vacations are on. But by the time my school reopens, I'll be all set to go back to books and school.
TZP is a hit. Does it make you feel like a star?
Not really. I feel very much the same as I felt earlier.
Aamir Khan has all the good things to say about you. What do you have to say about him?
Aamir sir is a man of few words and basically likes to use short and terse sentences like whenever anything goes wrong, he will immediately say 'arre yaar' which I think is very funny.
Did you give Aamir a tough time on the sets?
Yes, to an extent. Otherwise I was a good boy. Like I used to tease the lightdada as to why had he put eggs on the lights? Actually to gauge the exact amount of light on the sets, there are oval meters installed and I used to consider them as eggs.
I also did a weird trick with glycerin. Whenever I was asked to apply glycerin on my eyes, I applied a portion of it into my eyes while ate up the rest. It tasted sweet and I quite liked it.
Which Bollywood actor you admire most?
Well that has to be Hrithik Roshan.
And in actress?
I like both Rani Mukerjee and Aishwarya Rai.
Do you wish to pursue acting after you grow up?
I've quite a lot of options in my mind. At times I feel like becoming a businessman while at times I feel like becoming a jewelery designer. I also want to become a good actor, singer and a dancer.
Have you signed any other film?
(Smiles) I may be very well doing the sequel to Taare Zameen Par that would be called High Jump.
