Its all baseless rumours - Ranbir kapoor

Speculation is rife about the blooming romance between the two tinsel-town star kids -- Ranbir kapoor and Sonam Kapoor -- however, the Bollywood Actor and father of Sonam Kapoor -- Anil Kapoor -- refused to comment on the Ranbir-Sonam link-up and categorically said that his daughter is mature enough to take her own decisions.

The rumour mills went berserk when the two Kapoors made their debut together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Saawariya'. Though, the film didn't set the cash registers ringing, however, all eyes were on the two debutants and their chemistry, which just seems to have spilled over to their real life too.

While Sonam may remain undecided about Ranbir, Anil Kapoor seems to have set her free from his wings. When quizzed about the buzzing rumours, Anil Kapoor said:"We are basically family friends for so many years. Both Ranbir and Sonam are childhood friends and have worked together. Basically, it's Sonam's personal life so it would be better if you speak to her and ask her this question. If she is happy about it, it's ok as she is a sensible and intelligent young girl. But I don't think that there is an affair between the two, both are just friends."

Meanwhile, when Ranbir Kapoor was probed about the rumours, he said:"Well, I think it has become mandatory for every first hero and heroine, who have worked together to be linked. She is a very dear friend and I am very fond of her, but it's all baseless rumours."
