Shiney Ahuja and Rajkumar's son, Puru Rajkumar seem to share an uncanny resemblance to each other. Now, it is the cops who have mistaken one for the other.
A few days back, when Shiney was at the Linking Road (Bandra) signal, he was pulled up by the cops for using his mobile phone while driving. When the cops went up to interrogate him, they recognised him as someone from the film industry but got into an argument amongst themselves as to who he exactly was.
One of the cops felt that he was the star son Puru Rajkumar while the other one was adamant that he was Shiney. Says an onlooker,
"The two policemen were quite taken up by the actor. Finally Shiney, who was getting late for an appointment with his hairstylist, had to convince them of his identity by showing his driving license."
We spoke to one of the two cops (name withheld on request) who had stopped Shiney's car. One of them admitted that he and his companion got into an argument about the man being Shiney or Puru. He says, "Shiney and Puru look similar to each other."
When contacted, Shiney confirmed the story. He said, "Yes, I was stopped by the cops. The police were doing their job. I was in a mad rush as I was going to the salon, to get a new look for my film."
Puru, however, was a bit irritated when we called him and told about the incident. He said, "I can't help it." When asked about his strong resemblance to Shiney, he simply said that he would call up later and hung up.
