Thirty four years after Rishi Kapoor dropped his towel to expose his bare behind to the camera and to an embarrassed Aruna Irani in his debut film Bobby, his son Ranbir has done the same without any inhibitions in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya.

Yes, for the first time in a mainstream Hindi film the hero has done a nude shot.

The unexpected occurs during the course of a song Jab se tere naina shot with the debutant hero waltzing in a towel

Ranbir feels no awkwardness about the shot. "It's a song where a guy is celebrating love when he comes out after a bath… so many of us have danced in a towel in our bedrooms. What's the big deal if the towel slips off?

I did exactly what the character was required to do. If my father could do it for his father in the conservative '70s, why can't I do the same in this day and age? And that too for a film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who according to my family and me, is the true inheritor of Raj Kapoor's legacy." Interesting-ly, Ranbir's mom Neetu Singh finds her son's towel number very cute.

The big question really is, will the censor board allow the butt shot? "I don't see why the censor won't pass the shot. There was one in Bobby so many years ago. Besides it's so aesthetically done," reasons Ranbir.

omg no even john hasn't done anything like that please ranbir no i hope censor board doesn't clear it. i didn't expect anything like that from slb film now after that i won't be surprised if saawariya has lip locking scenes too 😕

Is he on Crack in that Pic...or something just went..NVM kids read these comments... so yeah 😆 😆 but wow A rating..lol on tv they keep saying PG-13 😆

That's because in US it is rated like that. Remember Sony pictures is producing the movie. The ratings are diff. in India and US. BTW I think 'A' is a bit harsh for that one scene. Even 'Neil and Nikky' got 'A' with such vulgar scenes and dialogues.

i thought it was the same. because i remember when The namesake came out. they said PG-13 on B4U... wow i learned something new about indian movie ratings

If Male Butts can give guarantee to any films success then till now Females would have received Oscar..

So Media stop making a scene out of this(BUTTS) and relax...the more Scene you build it will cause more problem..
