SAIF Ali Khan is earning a reputation for being the busiest flirt in Mumbai's tinseltown or an active member of the 'potong jalan' club (Malay for cutting into someone's lane).
Ever since his split from Italian girlfriend Rosa Catalano this year and his divorce from wife Amrita Singh last year, the media has been busy charting the 37-year-old actor's various alleged romantic links.
Earlier this year, Saif and Bipasha Basu were said to have hooked up while the 28-year-old actress was in a rough patch with her then-boyfriend, John Abraham.
Now the grapevine is shaking with glee of a budding romance between Kareena Kapoor, 27, and Saif.
The duo have apparently been seen together after they grew closer on the set of their film Tashan (Style).
Saif and Kareena were spotted taking a late night dip in the pool at the lavish JW Marriot hotel - a haunt popular with Bollywood denizens.
This added fuel to reports that Kareena and her beau of three years, Shahid Kapur, have called it quits.
Saif was most recently seen picking up Kareena from a studio where she was a guest star in Zee TV's reality talent contest, Sa Re Ga Ma.
She was promoting the launch of her upcoming film, Jab We Met (When We Met), co-starring Shahid.
Mid Day quoted an unnamed friend of Kareena as saying it was over between her and Shahid.
'If two people aren't compatible any longer, why should they stay together? It's better to move on to someone who loves and understands you instead of being unhappy in a relationship.
'Bebo (Kareena's nickname) and Saif have been stepping out together in public because they don't want to hide the fact that they're together any more.'
Coincidentally, their films, Tashan and Jab We Met, are due for release next year.
But new reports from Mumbai's grapevine say that Saif is romancing Salman Khan's girlfriend, Katrina Kaif.
Saif and Katrina shared a good working relationship on the set of the movie Race and were often seen playing chess together.
As usual, no one is confirming anything.
But the more cynical Bollywood observers dismiss the alleged romantic links as mere publicity stunts to generate interest in the stars' films.
