Sheer genius!
On Wednesday, we published a story about how Rani Mukerji was increasingly throwing tantrums at Yash Raj Studios and allegedly even got ad filmmaker Prasoon Pandey replaced in a project. Pandey, the creative genius that he is, sent us this blistering e-mail in response.
Hi,
In the HiTLIST of September the 19th some film industry sources had informed you that Rani Mukerji got me replaced from an ad film. That let me tell you is not even half the story. Rani and I were actually having a passionate affair, we got caught in the act and when the client found that out he replaced me as the director.
In fact the Advertising Agencies Association of India felt so ashamed of my deed that they banished me from the entire business of advertising itself. I became jobless. Running the kitchen was not so much of a problem because in this season friends keep sending you modhaks, but the bar was running dry fast. I couldn't get a license to drive a taxi so I decided to make a feature film instead. My film's mahoorat happened to be at Yash Raj. As I entered I met Rani all over again.
See this is a far superior rumour not only because I have a meatier role in this script but also because it ends when she and I meet again. That is fantastic incase we want to do a sequel rumour.
