The showman is back to directing films post the still-in-the-making Black & White.
On September 12, Subhash Ghai launched Yuvraaj (starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Zayed Khan, Katrina Kaif and Boman Irani).
As is Ghai's custom, his first schedule was in Khandala (all of his films must have at least some scenes shot in the hills around there!).
Later this month, a schedule has been planned in Europe.
A R Rahman will score the music and Shiamak Davar will choreograph the songs.
Let the music begin!

Amitabh Bachchan sported a ponytail in Balki's Cheeni Kum a while back.
And now, the newly buffed up Shah Rukh Khan too is flaunting a neat ponytail, only it's off screen.
We're assuming it's to beat the heat.
Shakti Kapoor too has a been flaunting a streaked ponytail.

Birthday surprise
Celina Jaitly is beaming and it's not all to do with Sexy Back singer Justin Timberlake's recent compliments.
She's just received a Kawai piano from her parents and is thrilled about it.
She says, "My birthday is on November 25, but I won't be at home then.
So it was a wonderful surprise when I came home recently to see the piano in my house.
I learnt how to play the piano as a child from my grandmother and can play a bit of Beethoven."
Devdas won't die
Sudhir Mishra's version of Devdas, which he starts on October 20, is promising to deliver a jolting blow to purists.
Mishra's revisionist version of the re-located classic has the doomed hero not only getting Chandramukhi, but he also lives arguing that life without Paro is as good as death!
But what's Devdas without his death? Producer Pritish Nandy seems prepared to take on the brickbats. "Classics mutate with time.
They change so many colours. I decided to do this film after I saw Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas.
As a Bengali, I couldn't connect with his lavish, operatic mood," says the filmmaker.
"Saratchandra's version was all about austerity and holding back, rather than unleashing a torrent of emotions."
Nandy seems undaunted by the criticism awaiting him. "Fear of falling has never stopped me from climbing higher.
Our Devdas goes back to its literary roots, set in contemporary times."
Ranbir: 'Bottoms' up!
Debutant actor Ranbir Kapoor's lean look in Saawariya is winning him loads of accolades.
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali wisely told him to stay away from beefing up, and we hope he continues to look lean instead of being a bodybuilder on steroids.
For those who think the promos aren't drool-worthy enough, there's no reason to despair.
We're being told Ranbir's got a solo dance sequence picturised on him in a translucent loincloth. Yes ladies, it's time to drool!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has a real penchant for grandeur, so much so that he insisted on having hand-painted curtains for Saawariya!
But then again, the director lives in a building called Magnum Opus in Andheri, so we're not surprised.
You can't blame the man for his excesses after knowing that, now can you?
Interestingly, Om Shanti Om director and new 'frenemy' Farah Khan lives just a few buildings down the road. Ooohh… such fun!

Move over Orkut, Facebook has become the latest community site to become a hit with Bollywood.
We are told Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Koena Mitra, Ranbir Kapoor and others are hardcore Facebook fans.
Apart from sending messages to each other, the actors also gossip and exchange notes about what's happening in the industry.
We're told that after HiTLIST broke the news about Ranbir and Sonam's split, Ranbir's Facebook page was flooded with messages from friends about it.
