What's the new collection that Sussanne is modelling for?
It's for the bridal collection that will be launched in Diwali at Mahesh Notandass.

We shot with Sussanne on her terrace with photographer Dhruv Singh.

Anahita Shroff did the styling. We wanted to capture a memorable moment as the jewellery line is about celebrating precious moments. It will be unveiled during the bridal season.

What made you take Sussanne as a model?
I took Sussanne because she fits the campaign. She has modelled for me earlier, but we didn't advertise the campaign. The jewellery in this campaign is very feminine and classic — just like Sussanne's personal style. I wanted somebody who would have that kind of appeal — someone who's very beautiful on the inside and outside.

Was it difficult shooting with her?
Initially, she was a bit shy, but later she opened up and had lots of fun. My brief to her was not to pose but keep smiling and be as natural as possible.

What's the collection like?
I have played with lots of gemstones like rubies, emeralds, South Sea pearls, rubellites and diamonds set in white gold and gold. There are earrings, rings, bracelets and sets. It's a very special collection for me — something that has lots of hard work and memories.

This year, I travelled to many places — Istanbul, Egypt, London, Italy, Vienna — so a little bit of memory, architecture and colour from these places is reflected in this collection.
