Former Miss World and Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is looking to expand her repertoire to avoid being typecast.
Priyanka told a newspaper recently that she was keen to act in a historical drama after her recent run of action movies.
"I'm open to doing all kinds of cinema," Priyanka said, adding, "I do not want to pigeonhole myself into any cinematic frame."
Priyanka plays a bodyguard adept at fighting with a sword in her new movie Drona opposite Abhishek Bachchan to be released later this year.
Priyanka had an action-packed role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Don last year.
"I would like to be known as Priyanka the actor, as someone who can play any role with ease," Priyanka told the paper.
Earlier this month, Priyanka became the first Bollywood actress to sign a landmark mega three-film deal with UTV Motion Pictures, one of the largest production houses in India.
The deal, which will span over four years, allows Priyanka to participate in the creative areas of the films.
