That's how Sushmita Sen talks to an Indian newspaper about her upocoming project Jhansi Ki Rani.
How consumed are you by the idea of making Jhansi Ki Rani?
My interest isn't just professional, but also personal. By producing Jhansi Ki Rani and casting myself in a role that I've cherished forever, I'll be paying a homage to a woman I admire tremendously. At times I've to remind myself rudely that the only thing that can get in the way of my dream project is me. Then I've to step back and get objective and professional.
Is it a risk to be the sole producer of Jhansi Ki Rani?
No, there's no fear of falling from my high horse. Jhansi ki Rani rode across the horizon fearlessly.
Any fear of failing with a female-centric film?
No, my recent films Chingari and Zindaggi Rocks revolved around me and they didn't work at the box-office, whereas a film like Main Hoon Na where I had, at the most, an extended cameo, brought me tremendous appreciation.
What would be the film's language?
You mean besides the universal language of the heart? It would predominantly be in English.
Ketan Mehta is also planning a bio-pic of Jhansi Ki Rani with Aishwarya...
I'm very happy for both of them.
