Sameera Reddy pulled off a successful prank on her friends and colleagues recently by tricking them into believing that she had got engaged. Sources say that Sameera sent an SMS to all friends and colleagues informing them that she got engaged on February 29. Most of her friends failed to notice anything unusual about the date and ended up at her house the next day to congratulate her.
Only when they arrived did they realise that Sameera had pulled a fast one and tricked everyone. "I have been focusing too much on my work and it's time I had some fun. Everytime I open a magazine or a tabloid, I see that I'm being linked with someone, but in reality, I would just be sitting at home eating popcorn with my parents," says Sameera. Luckily for Sameera, her friends' lack of attention to details added up to an entertaining and unusual experience. Recently, Koena Mitra also played the same prank on some of her colleagues by inviting her friends to a hotel in Mumbai for her engagement on February 29.
