i am very impressed that jaya bachan didnt talk her into wearing anything goofy to suit north indian customs. yeah i am south indian, brides from our side are always in a patu saree and they rarely wear heavy jewelery. but her hair is done differently we usually put it long, plaited tightly with lots of flowers on it, never tie it in a bun but i like the saree and the looks suits her. 😳

I think the original rumour of the gold lengha would have looked more glamourous and sophisticated as you only get married once!

But then again she's probably bored of wearing all the usual stuff from the films so kept it simple

Didn't you notice she had chura and mehndi on.. mehndi was day after sangeet.. it was someone else's wedding pic with Ash and ABHI faces pasted on😆😆

yeah it looks very simple but I guess like you guys have said its her heritage...lol i guess im too used the decked out punjabi weddings.

they were to have two-sets of ceremonies (ie. upholding south n north-traditions) n I'm assuming this second picture (see below) is what she wore for the second part of the wedding
