Calling the shots?
The kadak bandobast doesn't seem to end. Now we hear that all the A-list guests at the shaadi have been asked not to carry cellphones to the mandap. The idea is no cameras, hence no cellphone cameras either. So, what if anyone needs to make or receive a call? Will they have to queue up at the landline?
Cool it!
Yesterday we spotted a truck loaded with air-conditioners outside Pratiksha. When we quizzed the man who was off-loading the machines, he told us that the Bachchans had ordered nearly a hundred AC machines for the mandap. Now that's what you call a really cool wedding.
Art dekho
Allegedly the shaadi mandap has been designed by Bollywood art director Nitin Desai. Big B was very impressed with his studio in Karjat, and he asked him to think of an innovative theme for the wedding mandap. So, Nitin has designed a palace for Ash and Abhishek. The pillars are made of papier mache and the entire place will have white drapes since white is the favourite colour of Bachchans.
Shaadi ka laddoo
A Kanpur-based sweetshop owner has almost threatened to gatecrash at the Abhiash wedding. Apparently, Abhishek had shot a sequence for Bunty Aur Babli in the sweetshop, Thaggu Ke Laddoo, and bonded well with the owner. Now the guy wants to feed the guests at the wedding with his special laddoos. He's hopeful that the Bachchans will let him in...
