It must be tough to play a bad actor when you excel in the craft. Preity Zinta found it very interesting to play a bad actor in Rituparno Ghosh's 'The Last Lear'. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in the role of a veteran Shakespearean actor and Preity plays a bad actor of the troupe in the film. She's having a lot of fun playing the role and adds, "Playing a bad actor against Mr Bachchan in The Last Lear was a pleasure, especially when I had a director like Rituparno Ghosh to guide me to be bad on camera. Ritu is a
magician, and so calm. I thought I spoke good English until I heard Mr Bachchan recite Shakespearean dialogues in his baritone. As for my looks you've to see what Ritu has done with me. I've never looked like this before. It was all so much fun, and didn't seem like we were making a very serious film."
She has just returned after four days shooting with Mr Bachchan in Mussourie. In Mumbai she is going through varied scripts. She has Samir Karnik's 'Mera Bharat Mahaan', which has an episodic film with a very strong social message where she is cast opposite Salman Khan. She shares screen space with Bachchan's in Shaad Ali's 'Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom', which is a lighthearted film.
