Himesh Reshammiya's secret heroine discovered

The secret is finally out. It is neither Priyanka Chopra nor model Shivani Kapoor, as it was being rumoured in the industry circles, as the heroine signed opposite Himesh Reshammiya debuting as an actor.

Hansika Motwani has been signed to play Himesh's love interest in Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story. Hansika was last in Bollywood movies as a child actress in films as recent as Koi...Mil Gaya (2003) and the children's film Aabra Ka Dabra (2004). The film is reportedly based on his own love story and reveals why he is always seen donning a cap.

A unit source confirmed the news and told us, "Hansika was chosen by director Prashant Chaddha and Himesh after seeing the stills of her debut film as a heroine in Telugu, Desamuduru (2007). Her name has been changed to Ria for the film. The shooting has already begun in full swing in various cities of Germany since the start of March and Himesh is very pleased with her work and professionalism."

High secrecy was maintained over whom was going to be signed opposite the musician-singer turned actor. Names that floated around in the media circles ranged from that of Priyanka Chopra to model Shivani Kapoor. But it was newcomer Hansika who managed to grab the film. She was last seen as a child star in Star Plus' hit series Kyunki...Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2004. She had also been signed a film opposite Mithun Chakraborty's son Mimoh, He - The Only One, few months back, but the film is still stuck in the making.

Hansika was in the news 3 years back over her custody when her parents had reportedly filed for a divorce. Her mother Mona, a dermatologist by profession, had that time even said on national television in a talk show hosted by Kyunki star Smriti Irani that she will never allow her daughter to act in films when she grows up.
