Sholay should not be remade

I think Ram Gopal Varma is making a mistake remaking this classic because remakes are untouchable and i know he is trying o make it mordern but hes making the wrong choices and his films are becoming flops, Ami Ji was great as his charecter but not as Gabar because the orignal actor played his fantastically and Hema was a beaty, the girl he picked looked odinary.

I just cant imagine Big B as Gabbar. This could be a big mistake. One thing lot of people said that was Don shouldnt be remade, but it was so why not Sholay. But Sholay was phenomenon, a milestone in Hindi cinema, it forever impressed on our minds the image of Gabbar Singh, his style so flamboyant, he was the image of evil the perfect daku, no one can copy that. Don was not even in the same league at Sholay, you think Big B you think Sholay and you think Gabbar Singh and that song by Helen Mehbooba oh Mehbooba. This movie is a classic and should not be remade, the original is gold and it doesnt have to be mordern to be loved because the young generation still watch the original and its raw originality is its Brilliance.

Sholay should never be remade!! Amitabh Bachan was upset when SRK did Don, because he probably didnt want to see anyone doing a role which he had done....and no matter how big of an actor Amitabh is he cant play Gabbar....the guy who played the original Gabbar was great and gave a natural performance....and how did all of a sudden Jai turn into Gabbar??....anywayz like Umrao Jaan, Don bollywood is all set to ruin another classic....i am glad i perfer sequels to remakes
