Actor Zayed Khan recently visited Delhi to promote a new range of footwear labeled "Rockstar". Keeping up with the occasion the actor was attired in clothes that screamed wannabe rock star. Zayed is known to be a shoe fetish; he claims to have 100 pairs at home. When asked why so many shoes, he said , "They help me run and walk. Footwear is very important . It defines one's personality. Besides, his brad named ID shoes allow great freedom to today's youth. " Zayed is equally fetish about apparel brands. Again confronted with a question as to what would be his next endorsement after an apparel brand and footwear range, the actor replied, "Planes.". Hopefully it was a joke!

Nagesh signs John Abraham for 'Aashayein'

Percept Picture Company and director Nagesh Kukunoor have decided to sign John Abraham for their film 'Aashayein'. The movie's story talks about Rahul who is highly obsessed with gambling, but finds new meanings of life following a spectacular turn. When asked why he got an idea to take John in the film, Nagesh said that he was too impressed with John's performance in 'Kabul Express' and Deepa Mehta's 'Water' . Nagesh added that all human beings are gamblers in real life, so there is no reason for a surprise that he gambled on John. Nagesh denies that he has any problem with Shreyas and that he would surely sign him in the future if Shreyas suited a character of his movie's story.

Kunal Kapoor replaces Shaahid

Shaahid Kapoor hasn't signed even a single film since last year. It is really good to be choosy and work within limits, but one need not be over-conscious . This is said that Shaahid is in search of roles that he hasn't played so far. Ramesh Shippy offered him a role in his next starring Nana Patekar as costar. Though Shaahid first accepted it, but later sought changes in his role. At that juncture, Ramesh Shippy declined to comply with his request, and Shaahid opted out of the film by making an excuse of date problem. So, Kunal Kapoor has been roped in as replacement.

Monica not far behind Kareena

Monica Castelino has joined the Hindi film fraternity. When asked if she didn't feel uneasiness to render a prostitute's character in her debut film, she retorted that if Kareena could do that why she couldn't. This 20 year old actress Monica Castelino is ready to try her hand at every challenging role.

Honor for Tabu

The Hollywood magazine "Premiere" has centre spread Tabu in its March issue for her wonderful performance in 'Namesake'. The magazine considers her to be the most valuable gem of Bollywood. However, Tabu has a different perception. She says that she is too lazy a person to do make-up; after all no one can really escape truism for long. Similarly, she holds her own view of art films. She claims that these movies can do good business for filmmakers, besides being hat ke in content. As is well known, she started off as a child artist in a film along with Zeenat Aman and Raj Babbar. The actress now feels lucky to have received umpteen opportunities to showcase her talent as a skilled actress. That's why world famous painter M.F. Husain became fida ( crazy ) for her.
