Aftab Shivdasani bit Celina Jailtley's lips so hard during a kissing scene in Vikram Bhatt's Red, that he actually left a cut

Celina Jaitley had a dreadful time while kissing co-star Aftab Shivdasani in her forthcoming film, Red. Apparently, the sequence demanded Aftab to push Celina against a wall and then forcibly kiss her. By the time the the shot was done, Celina was left with sore, swollen lips. She had a cut on her upper lip that led to a two-day delay in the shooting schedule.

Talking about the kiss, Celina says, "We were asked to enact the kissing sequence on the very first day of our shoot. After the shot, I actually had a cut on my upper lip. In no time it swelled up. The entire unit made fun of me."

The gash was further aggravated due to some infection and the actress had to take a tetanus shot. She blamed it on the lipstick that she was using. "The lipstick infected the gash and I had to have a tetanus injection," says Celina. The shooting schedule went for a toss as no makeup could cover Celina's swollen lips. She adds, "For the next two days, we only shot silhouette scenes."

Following the incident, Celina's mother began accompanying her to the sets to give her the much-needed moral support. Red claims to have a fair share of steamy sequences.

When quizzed about the kiss, director Vikram Bhatt confirms, "Yes Celina had hurt her lips while enacting a kissing sequence."

Aftab, who is presently in London, was unavailable for comment. But unit members inform us that he was visibly embarrassed after the incident, on the sets. "We used to rag him by asking him to get a check-up done in case he was suffering from rabies," laughs a unit member.
