shocking Big drop on Monday
Without reading what got posted, I noticed that the 'Jollies' couldn't sustain the initial interest (according to numbers, though)... neither in India nor overseas... with an estimated budget of 120 cr, the movie doesn't go into the direction of a positive 'verdict'...
I'll watch it on Netflix, anyways.
Saw the film ..Its a good watch but unlike the previous films in the franchise where there was a constant humor throughout, the film gets bit too serious this time around.Resultantly Jolly LLB 3 is not as entertaining as part 1 or 2!
The film has a very basic plot that has been seen gazillion times earlier which is why the entire drama does not feel fresh .In fact you constantly get a feeling of deja vu .The problem of farmers where they fight hard with a rich tycoon to get back their land is done to death issue .
Thankfully the film is still not a complete write off.The clash between the two Jollys is quite entertaining. It also makes you nostalgic as it brings back the memories of previous parts. There are several moments that strike a chord .The sequence right before the interval when Akshay and Arshad reunite makes you jump with joy.The entire concept of Bikaner to Boston project has been articulated quite convincingly!
Although the court room drama is quite effective in the second half, the hammer strong impact the previous films created is missing this around.Emotions seem to rule the court proceedings here rather than facts!
Akshay does quite well.Although he looks too old at times .Arshad is quite convincing. But the real show stealer is Saurav Shukla who walks away with the meatiest part.Seema Biswas evokes sympathy especially her outburst in the final makes you emotional.Amrita Rao and Huma are hardly there!
Overall a decent watch but just do not expect much..
3/5

My guess: a diluted story, forced comedy and a run-of-the-mill Akshay... maybe Akshay is doing so many movies because he doesn't know what else to do... a kind of being occupied... he still has fans who like to watch him... fine for him
