The comparison with current actresses is pointless. Bollywood in the late 2000s and 2010s was a completely different game, probably the best era for actresses. So many varied roles for women. Priyanka was doing the same thing in her initial years that Janhvi and Sara are busy doing now.

We cant compare today's actresses DP , Alia included to actresses from 90s. Bollywood in general was better back then, they still had new story lines. Directors had their own visions, actresses even though not leads still had lot of important roles in movies. Given chance, they delivered.

Today's actresses have a long way to go before reaching PC, Vidya, kareena etc.

sara and janhvi are in their 7th/8th year

PC by that time had given Aitraaz and Fashion

At the same time, Priyanka cranked out more films in her first three years than Janhvi has managed in seven. The year Aitraaz released, she also had Plan, Asambhav, Kismat, and the year Fashion came out, she also gave us Love Story 2050, Chamku, Drona. When you’re doing ten films a year, an Aitraaz or Chameli is bound to land at some point.

thats very easy to pressume. I would wana see something like aitraaz or fashion from janhvi..i bet she would not be able to even a decade from now..she has been given numerous chances..she is the one having the most releases presently, someone being given the most work out of everyone yet the outcome is abysmal

Yeah, Janhvi is terrible, but Priyanka isn’t exactly the brightest talent Bollywood ever had either. She’s no Vidya or Tabu who could rise above a bad script. Between Fashion and Aitraaz there are dozens of flat, forgettable performances. She happened to land top stars and directors again and again, picked up every award India had to offer, and honestly walked away with more than she deserved.
