about Janhvi: There is the Ishaan Khatter movie with Janhvi which didn't get a release in theatres yet (first Cannes, now Toronto), the movie co-produced by Martin Scorsese (brought in by a French producer)... again an attempt by Karan to finally get a better success for Janhvi? Well, as the original NYT story by Basharat Peer revolves around the two young men, I wonder how Janhvi will fit into this story.

The filmindustry (including the Hindi one since a while) advertises the worldwide gross numbers as this is the money, the movie got from the audiences globally. Of course, the all India net collection is less than the gross because of the taxes.

Imo, it is high time to fix an all-India rule on what exactly a verdict is based because there are movies which were given a hit tag only based on the India net collection vs budget and others got a hit tag with the ww-gross collection vs the budget.

Worldwide Collection ₹ 59 Cr (Overseas Collection ₹ 14.5 Cr + India Gross Collection ₹ 44.5 Cr)

The source I have, gives a budget of 60 cr... The movie certainly will cross the 60 cr ww but it won't reach an India net collection sufficient for a hit-tag. Even a globally gross collection has to be much more than 60 cr when the overseas gross collection is less than 1/3 of the India gross. However, it seems to me that the movie is quite well received overseas.
