Is Alia Bhatt’s Career Losing Its Spark?

Alia Bhatt has done some good movies, but mostly, it feels like she’s everywhere. With so many back-to-back films, her roles are starting to feel similar. For example, in Brahmastra and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, she plays high-energy, city-girl characters that don’t seem all that different.

Then there’s her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone. I wonder if she’s taking on too much at once. Some actors do better when they take a break and choose projects carefully—maybe Alia should try that too? The fake accent in the movie really threw me off.

It honestly seems like she’s working for a meme in every movie she does.

I feel she should take a break and do some thinking before taking on her next script.

I feel yrf was confident about their movie earlier. Now that Jigra didn't do well, I feel they may increase Hritik s role n the movie.

A break would do her good (I feel like everyone should take a break once in a while) but I doubt she would. I honestly feel like Alia suffers from FOMO and feels the need to prove herself again and again. I mean she’s established herself and has some great movies under her belt, so doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. But like you say, she’s e v e r y w h e r e! It’s tiresome

Is it just a personal feeling one gets because of the vast offer of movies and series one gets? In the nineties and early 20ies some actors had even 3 to four movies releasing in a year and I don't remember having read about the feeling of overexposure in hindsight.

Alia most probably will only have one movie next year (maximum two). And if she hadn't got a quite annoying role in Brahmastra and Karan would have shaped her character in a better way, there wouldn't - probably - not be this 'repeat'-feeling.

Nevertheless, also to me, the last two years Alia gives me a feeling of her having the FOMO-virus (influenced by Karan's own FOMO-attitude?).
